This is an abstract that I created very intuitively during my 100 Paintings in 100 Days challenge that I recently completed. I love when the painting seems to create itself and this one brought me much happiness.

Arlene Holtz

Color, movement, emotion, and energy is what inspires me and what emerges in my art. I paint landscapes, still lifes, and florals, but figures and portraiture are the most fascinating to me. Lately I have been exploring the use of non-traditional colors to create portraits that are alive and unique. I have also begun to experiment with and paint abstracts, and am loving the freedom in just playing with color, form, and emotions. Exploration and new ideas get my juices flowing and drive me creatively. My passion is to create visual works of art in my studio that come from the heart and from my connection to Spirit. It’s just who I am. When I look back in my life, I realize that I always have been an artist, though I have done other things...
